Custom Vocabulary

Manage transcription corrections. Misspellings are automatically corrected in future transcriptions.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Custom Vocabulary lets you manage transcription corrections from Settings.

If the AI frequently misspells specific names, acronyms, product terms, or industry jargon, you can add them to your vocabulary list. We’ll automatically apply your corrections to future transcriptions.

Where to Manage Custom Vocabulary

Custom Vocabulary is managed in:

Settings → Vocabulary

From this page, you can:

  • Add new vocabulary entries

  • Edit existing entries

  • Delete entries you no longer need

How to Add a Vocabulary Entry

  1. Go to Settings → Vocabulary

  2. Click Add vocabulary term

  3. Enter:

    • Misspellings (comma-separated, lowercase) – The incorrect spelling that appears in transcripts

    • Correct spelling (case-sensitive) – The spelling you want the transcript to use

  4. Click Save

Once saved, the correction will apply to all future transcriptions.

Using Find & Replace (and Save for Future Use)

You can also correct words directly inside:

  • CG Transcripts

  • AI Summary

When using Find & Replace, you’ll have the option to Save for future use.

How it works:

  1. Open a transcript or AI Summary

  2. Use Find & Replace

  3. Replace the incorrect word

  4. Select Save for future use

  5. Confirm

When you select Save for future use:

  • The correction updates the current transcript

  • The word is automatically added to Settings → Vocabulary

  • Future transcriptions will use the correct spelling automatically

This is the fastest way to build your Custom Vocabulary while reviewing transcripts.

How to Edit or Delete an Entry

  1. Go to Settings → Vocabulary

  2. Locate the word in your list

  3. Choose to:

    • Edit the entry and update the spelling

    • Delete the entry to remove the replacement

Best Practices

  • Add proper nouns (names of people, companies, customers, locations)

  • Add acronyms and capitalized terms (SLA, KPI, API, OKR)

  • If a word has multiple common misspellings, add each variation separately

  • Use the exact capitalization you want reflected in transcripts

  • Custom Vocabulary works best for word and short phrase corrections, not full sentence rewrites

Important Notes

  • Changes apply to future transcriptions only

  • Existing transcripts will not update automatically unless manually edited

  • Using Save for future use ensures the correction is remembered going forward
